I live in Banyoles and I study at Casa Nostra school.
My favourite sport is football
In this oral presentation, I'm talking about my favourite sport: football.

A profile of the sport
Football has existed since 1863, but its origins are more than 24 centuries ago.
It started in CHina, but now there are clubs all over the world. It is the most popular team sport in the world.
The biggest international Football competiton in the world is the World Cup, which started in 1930.
Woman has competed in the World Cup since 1895.
Biography of a famous sport player
At the age of five, Messi started playing football for Grandoli. In 1995, Messi switched to Newell's Old Boys. At the age of 11, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency.
River Plate showed interest in Messi's progress, but did not have enough money to pay for the treatment of the illness that cost $1500 a month. Carles Rexach, the sporting director of FC Barcelona, was made aware of Messi's talent, and Barcelona signed him after watching him play,offering to pay for the medical bills if he was willing to move to start a new life in Spain.His family moved to Europe and he started in the club's youth teams

I don't hate Real Madrid. I just love Barcelona.
Do you tink you need to be specially motivated to play against Real Madrid?
Well, it is a special match because it is Madrid. But,really it's the same as always: two teams, eleven players…

Amadeu – Oh, hi!. I’m phoning about the tickets for the match between FCBarcelona and RealMadrid
Woman – Yes, can you tell me the date and place?
Amadeu – Yes, are there any tickets for the Camp Nou on the 18th of February?
Woman – Yes we’ve got tickets for that match.
Amadeu – Great!, how much are they?
Woman – They are 60€
Amadeu – Ok. Can I have six tickets please?
Woman – Yes of course. I’ll need your number, address and a credit card number please.
Amadeu – All right!. Just a moment please. The number is 233 342 234 .
Woman – Thank you. The tickets will arrive next week at your house.

Describing an event
The UEFA Champions League, which evolved from the European Champion Clubs' Cup, is a seasonal club football competition organised by UEFA since 1992 for the most successful football clubs in Europe. The prize, the European Champion Clubs' Cup, is the most prestigious club trophy in the sport. The UEFA Champions League is separate from the UEFA Cup.
The tournament consists of several stages. In the present format it begins in mid-July with three knockout qualifying rounds. The 16 surviving teams join 16 seeded teams in the group stage, in which there are eight groups consisting of four teams each. The eight group winners and eight runners-up enter the final knockout phase, which ends with the final match in May

Opinion
I started to practise football when I was five in CD. Banyoles.
Sport is very good because you can make new friends, do a lot of exercice and it's the best activity in the world.
